"Finding joy in the quiet moments of your day" by Aoife Kenny 'PureLight'



Hello everyone. My name is Aoife. I am a yoga teacher based mostly in Wicklow and North Wexford.

I teach weekly classes here at Purelight studio in Bray and I am so very grateful and blessed to be teaching in this magnificent space along with such wonderful authentic teachers.






When I was asked to write this blog I felt inspired to talk about finding ways in helping us bring more calm and ease in our everyday lives.

Life today is busy; we all have daily commitments, spending our time going from one thing to another.






So where do we find time for ourselves in our day?


Well I would like to share a few tips with you on this...

If you’re like me and live in luscious Wicklow, their is an abundance of forests, hills and mountains to explore! Or maybe you live close to the sea.. even better!!

Where ever you live, get out for a walk. (even 20 minutes)...leave the headphones at home and instead listen and observe your natural surroundings...maybe the birds, waves, stillness or even traffic.

Staying present in the here and now is a wonderful gift.

So now I am going to talk a little bit about yoga!

Yoga came to me at a very difficult time in my life, some days i felt that all I had to look forward to was my yoga practice.

When we go through tough times we hold this stress and tension in our body, the simple practice of moving the body in synchronicity with breath certainly was for me, well...

life changing!

Yoga is a moving meditation, this amazing practice has the power to keep you centred and calm regardless of your personal circumstances.

I encourage you all to dedicate even 30 minutes out of your day, go for a walk, stretch, sit quietly or take a yoga/meditation class.

Is this too much to ask for your own wellbeing? I think not ❤
